Digs: The Renbasera Hotel: down by the bus station and next to the river was weird but cheap, with all of us paying 50R for one night.

Vittles: Rajhans's Restaurant on the main drag serves great South Indian veg food, and is run by a young motorcycle enthusiast and entrepreneur. The atmosphere and food were some of the best we've had.

Navigability: a little difficult--crowded, busy with foot and vehicle traffic.

Sliding In and Out: Kausani to Srinigar was a scenic but slow-going road, generally in good condition. Due to massice switchbacks and steepness, we covered only 44k in 2 hours.
